What does
D.O.D. mean?
If you have a 2007 or newer Tahoe, Silverado or other GM Vehicles then you have displacement on demand— or D.O.D. When you have lifter failure make sure you ask us about our DOD/AFM delete specials. We can do a stock D.O.D. delete and retain your factory size cam. WE DON’T ALWAYS ADD A BIGGER CAM! Get it in the shop before you have a complete failure and ruin your motor however, most failures we are able to save.
Most shops want to replace the failed lifter. On a different approach, we go in the motor to get rid of and replace all the parts with non-D.O.D lifters. Just in the past month we have had two 2014 Chevrolet Silverados that were recently “fixed” elsewhere. The other shops had replaced the failed lifters with the same style that were in the vehicles before. Both failed within 4 months to a year.
Stop by the shop or fill out the form ASAP so we can explain further how we swap these lifters so you will never have DOD/AFM problems again. Remember, we can do this service before you have an issue to keep you on the road longer. We have many customers take care of it before it becomes a problem!
